Dome Restoration

The Streator public library dome has been an beautiful center piece and memorable feature among patrons and visitors since it's installation in 1905. After the tragic boiler fire in 1945, the murals were left dingy, soot covered, and in need of restoration. Thanks to the work of several great teams, the dome can once again boast it's vivid colors.
